High level roles for this position :

Portal U/I Design:

Take the lead in user interface design of the web portal.

Content Management on the website :

Assist with product development by managing content on the website including copywriting and placing images for different tour and travel products on the website.

E-Communications :

Create email newsletters to be sent to the users on a periodic basis.

 

Here is what you need to succeed :

  • Experience in Web Portal U/I Design
  • Knowledge of eMarketing
  • Excellent oral and written English and communication skills. Strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects to consistently meet deadlines and project objectives.

TravelDaddy is looking for a HANDS ON Web Manager / Tech Lead for its portal. The position is located in the Corporate office in Princeton NJ.

The individual will be working with our off shore web team and providing specific design requirements to the team, providing wireframes, tracking enhancements to the code and managing code on live server.

 

Expectations from the individual :

  • Work with business units to come up with design of new features for the website and work with the designers to present U/I mockups for the website.
  • Engineering interface with RSS Feed providers and building interfaces with other data providers
  • SEO Strategy development and Implementation.
  • Database Maintenance and server backups
  • Manage the company network
  • Build requirements documents.
  • Communicate the requirements to the back-end programming a team(s) for building the functionality.
  • Test the functionality of the code against requirements.
  • Quality Check of solutions being provided by the back-end team and Code Promotion to the live server.
  • Will be the "Go-To" IT person for the office for emergency network and IT issues.

 

Skillset(s) :

  • Knowledge of VB.net, Sql Server 2005, and other RAD / Web development tools is required.
  • Good communication and written communication skills are a must.

TravelDaddy is growing rapidly and is in the process of expanding its offshore software development office in Jaipur (India) for building new features for the family of social networking portals on the Internet.

 

The Web User Interface Designer will work closely with the business office in the United States and be involved in developing front end graphics and layout options for the websites and doing minor front end programming for the portals. In addition the individual will be involved in writing requirements for the functionality to be passed on to the back-end developers and testers.
