Social networking on the internet is a great way to make new friends but there are several safety precautions that should be taken before beginning your search. Travel Daddy wants our members to be as safe as possible while using our site.  Please read and follow these safety guidelines as to avoid any situations that may put you in danger.

Information 

It is advisable not to exhibit your home, work or school address or phone number in your profile. You are only expected to enter the required information and may choose to enter general information about your personal preferences.  Please do NOT enter any financial information on your profile page. Use Privacy settings on Travel Daddy to control what users are able to view your profile and how much they are able to see.

Trust 

Do not believe in everything a person says to you over internet. Please use your own judgment in sharing any and all information with people you meet on social networking websites.  Take your time in meeting new people and follow your gut feeling when choosing to proceed any further than online conversation.

Buddy Check 

Construct your own quick check procedure while interacting with other users. 

Here are several pointers to help you find the right people to form connections.  

---Browse through a users friend list to make sure there are other people they are connecting with  

---If you are skeptical of a user’s validity, search their name in an outside search engine for results 

---Look over user photos and recent activity to verify their statements 

Personal meetings

Personal meetings and planned trips as buddies should be thoroughly planned and well thought-out before occurring.  Practice extreme caution meeting someone you have met online.  Even after the initial meeting, keep your distance and be cautious.  You should inform a friend or family member of where you are going and whom you are meeting.  When possible, take a friend along to an initial meeting.   Carry a cell phone in case of emergency.  If possible, have a trusted friend call you during the meeting at a specific time to see how it is going.  Lastly, ALWAYS meet in a public place.

Age Limit

Travel Daddy requires a user to be at least thirteen years of age to register. Kindly always provide the correct information with regards to age and all other required aspects of the website.  If under age eighteen, you should always check with your legal guardian for permission to use features on the internet. 

Report Abuse 

If you witness any activity that is offensive or dangerous occurring on TravelDaddy, please report the activity and user name as soon as possible as to keep our internet community as safe as possible.  Any comment or activity that does not follow TravelDaddy's Etiquette Guidelines should be reported.  We will investigate the claim and follow up with necessary actions.
